What is HASCON?

HASCON is Hasbro’s first ever fan and family convention which will be held at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Dunkin’ Donuts Center and other nearby locations (collectively the “HASCON Sites”) from September 8-10, 2017. HASCON will be a celebration of Hasbro’s powerful characters and stories and will include live interactive experiences, special HASCON products, talent appearances, first-look screenings, panels, and much more. HASCON will feature Hasbro’s iconic brands including TRANSFORMERS, MY LITTLE PONY, NERF, MAGIC: THE GATHERING, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, PLAY-DOH, MONOPOLY, G.I. JOE and more.

Why did Hasbro decide to create HASCON?

Hasbro is dedicated to offering our fans new and exciting ways to engage with our brands, and HASCON takes that commitment to a whole new level. By bringing all of Hasbro’s most iconic brands together at one major event, fans and families will truly get a peek into the rich stories and dynamic, multi-faceted characters that make up the world of Hasbro. It’s an incredible platform to capture the imaginations of fans of all ages.

What can fans and families expect to experience at HASCON?

HASCON will deliver an unprecedented experience for Hasbro fans with a variety of panels, presentations, and interactive events for fans to enjoy. Over three unforgettable days, fans and families will be able to interact with their favorite Hasbro brands to hopefully create an even deeper and more meaningful connection.

In addition to dynamic stage performances and interactive experiences designed to offer attendees a glimpse into Hasbro’s imaginative storytelling in action, fans also may be able to attend first-look previews of Hasbro’s television and movie series for some of our iconic brands. They may be able to attend panels and meet-and-greets with celebrities and creative talent associated with Hasbro brands, take part in Hasbro Gaming competitions, and have an opportunity to purchase special HASCON-edition products.

Which brands will be featured at HASCON?

The premiere HASCON event will bring the magic of decades of storytelling under one roof for the ultimate, immersive, Hasbro fan and family experience. Hasbro’s top properties being featured at HASCON include TRANSFORMERS, MY LITTLE PONY, NERF, MAGIC: THE GATHERING, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, PLAY-DOH, MONOPOLY, G.I. JOE, LITTLEST PET SHOP, FUR REAL FRIENDS, PLAYSKOOL, MR. POTATO HEAD, HASBRO GAMING, and many others.

Will there be celebrities and who will be there?

Yes, celebrities and creative talent associated with Hasbro brands and entertainment will participate in panels and meet-and-greets with fans. We will announce the line-up closer to the opening of HASCON.

Why is HASCON in Providence, Rhode Island?

Hasbro has been headquartered in Rhode Island since our founding in 1923 and we are excited to welcome fans and families to our home state for the most memorable Hasbro experience ever. Providence is about an hour via car from Boston and is easily accessible for travelers coming from near or far.

When should we line up if we’d like a chance to be first in the door?

There will be no overnight queuing for sessions. You can begin lining up one hour prior to doors opening.

Will there be lines and, if so, why?

Depending on where the line is, the reasons may vary. There likely will be lines for various autograph sessions, panels, badge pick-up, and some other events. We recommend reviewing all events/activities in advance and planning your experience accordingly.

Are there different events each day?

Some events will be the same for the duration of HASCON. Other events, such as panels and special guest appearances, will only happen at a specific time on a specific day.

Check out our events section of the web page for the most up-to-date information on events, panels, special guests, and more.

Are there any meet and greets?

Yes, we will have designated meet and greets for fans of all ages with costume characters, celebrities, designers, and more.

Look for announcements and specific scheduled events on our events page.

What is the autograph signing policy?

We ask that you not* bring personal items to be signed. Artists and talent will only sign event merchandise purchased on the day of the event. Proof of purchase, such as a valid HASCON receipt, may be required.

* The exception to this policy is for MAGIC: THE GATHERING cards. You may bring your own cards to be signed, with a limit of 10 cards per session.

  • Children ages 2 and under do not require a purchased ticket.
  • Youths ages 3 through 15 need to have a youth ticket.
  • Anyone age 16+ requires an adult ticket.

Can I use more than one credit card to purchase tickets to HASCON?

No, you are only able to use one credit card per transaction. You may purchase multiple tickets at one time; but this system is only able to process one credit card at a time per transaction.

Is my child old enough to have fun at HASCON?

  • Everyone in the FANmily is invited and welcome to attend.
  • There will be entertainment and activities that we believe will appeal to children from age 3 through adults.

Can my child attend HASCON without an adult?

No one under the age of 16 will be admitted to HASCON unless accompanied by an adult, 18 years or older.

Do you offer any special ticket pricing for large groups?

No, we do not offer group discounts.

I bought a general admission ticket, but I want to upgrade to a VIP Package. Can I simply pay the difference?

Yes, but only as long as the VIP Package you are interested in is still available. Please email HASCONtickets@conferencedirect.com to upgrade, or call 1-844-876-1785.

What is the difference between a badge and a ticket?

There is no difference. When you buy your ticket, what you will receive is your event badge. All attendees ages 3 and up will be issued a ticket badge that should be shown at all times and is required to enter, leave, and return to a HASCON Site. You may be asked to show HASCON security and staff your badge and a photo ID. Please oblige any staff requests - the inability to do so may result in your removal from HASCON.

I purchased a ticket online, but I never received my badge. What should I do?

Ticket badges will be mailed to U.S. residents (50 states and the District of Columbia) that register on or before August 4, 2017 to the address that you provide during registration. If you register after August 4, 2017, or are a non-U.S. resident, your badge(s) will be available for pick-up at the Will Call area located in the lobby of the Rhode Island Convention Center.

Will Call Hours:

  • Thursday, September 7: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday, September 8 – Sunday, September 10: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

If you did not receive your ticket badge(s) prior to arrival, you will be emailed a barcode to scan and print your ticket badge at one of our self-check-in stations in the Will Call area. You may scan the barcode from a printed copy or from your mobile device.

If you are located within the U.S. and receive your ticket badge(s) in the mail, you do not have to stop at the registration desk. Bring your badge with you to the entrance, and event staff will check you in.

Are ticket badges transferable? May I give them to someone to use for the remaining days of HASCON?

  • Once a person uses a ticket badge, subsequent admissions are specific to that person and cannot be transferred to anyone else.
  • See badge policy for details on ticket badges.
  • Since badges are nontransferable, please do not give your badge to a friend or to people outside any HASCON Site when you leave. Security will perform random ID checks throughout the convention, so make sure you have a photo ID that matches the registration for the ticket badge.
  • You may transfer an unused badge to another person online on or before August 4, 2017. For information on how to do so, please email HASCONtickets@conferencedirect.com, or call 1-844-876-1785.

Does my badge get me into all events?

  • Each HASCON Site has limited capacity set by the Fire Marshal, as does each room within a HASCON Site. Even though a ticket badge is needed to get into all events, it does not guarantee you access to an event if the room where the event is happening has reached its capacity limit.
  • Some events will require the purchase of a ticket in addition to your ticket badge. Please review all events/activities you are interested in attending in advance; additional ticket requirements will be listed on each event posting.
  • Hasbro reserves the right to refuse admission, to refuse service and/or to cancel/revoke your badge at Hasbro’s discretion. Always wear your badge and hang on to it! You will need your badge to attend any HASCON function, including all panels and events at HASCON Sites.

My friend is inside a HASCON facility with my badge – can you let me find the friend?

No, unfortunately not. No one is admitted without a ticket badge. It is strongly recommended that prior to entering the convention you arrange a meeting point with all members of your party, just in case. Please keep in mind, there is no paging at HASCON.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can substitute another person for a ticket badge you have already purchased only if you do so online on or before August 4, 2017. Other than that, no cancellations, transfers or refunds are permitted for HASCON tickets. Tickets cannot be returned for any merchandise credit and have no cash value. HASCON is not responsible for lost, stolen, or forgotten tickets. For questions about HASCON tickets prior to the event, please contact customer service at HASCONtickets@conferencedirect.com, who will respond Monday-Friday from 9 am-5 pm EST.

Please note that failure to comply with any of the following policies may result in your denial of entry to or removal from HASCON without a refund.

Ticket Badges

All ticket badges are the property of Hasbro. A ticket badge grants you only a revocable license. Hasbro reserves the right to refuse admission, to refuse service and/or to cancel/revoke your ticket badge at Hasbro’s discretion. Always wear your badge and hang on to it! All attendees ages 3 and up need a ticket badge to attend any HASCON function, including all daytime and nighttime panels and events at the Rhode Island Convention Center, Dunkin’ Donuts Center, and at any other HASCON event locations (collectively the “HASCON Sites”). Keep your badge visible. If you’re asked to show your badge and photo ID, please do so. Badges are nontransferable after they are issued. Please do not give your badge to a friend or to people outside the HASCON Sites when you leave. Security will perform random ID checks throughout the convention.

Please also bring a photo ID, such as a driver's license or school ID with you. Hasbro or its agent may perform any of the following validation of badges on entry to any area of the convention. These measures are an effort to prevent illegal badge duplication and unauthorized reselling. Hasbro or its agent may scan a barcode, require a photo ID that matches the registration for the badge, scan RFID embedded in the badge, and examine the badge with other technological and/or physical methods to verify authenticity of the badge and holder.

You must register an individual name for each badge. If Hasbro or its agent determines that you have purchased more than one badge in your name for any day or that you’ve transferred your badge in violation of these terms, then Hasbro or its agent has the right to cancel your badge or duplicate badge(s) and you will not receive a refund.

No one under the age of sixteen (16) will be admitted to HASCON unless accompanied by an adult eighteen (18) years of age or older.
